Patient-centered research for better health and healthcare

Quality Improvement

At St. Mary’s Hospital Center, quality assessment research is closely linked to other Hospital research activities. Staff in the Quality Assessment unit of the Quality Management program support staff in conducting evaluative studies of care and services that support quality improvement initiatives. These activities are showcased in the hospital’s Annual Symposium on Research and Quality of Care. Other research looks more broadly at the quality of care in the community, e.g., treatment of depression.
