Biography

Martin Cole is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, McGill University. Dr. Cole is based at St. Mary's Hospital, a community-based McGill-affiliated institution, where he is a senior psychiatrist, Director of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry and an Associate Member of St. Mary's Hospital Research Centre. He received his medical degree from McGill University and completed specialty training at McGill and the University of Geneva, Switzerland. His research activities, often in collaboration with the Departments of Medicine and Surgery and the Department of Family Medicine at St Mary’s, include systematic literature reviews, descriptive studies and randomized trials, all involving studies of major mental disorders in old age (delirium, depression, dementia) and health services for these disorders.
